Vinyl flooring comes in 4 widths 2,3,4 and 5m wide. Vinyl flooring can be put in any room in the house but is mainly used in kitchens and bathrooms. Vinyl also comes in plain designs and tiled, wood designs and more and is made in different qualities. Most vinyls are made with slip resistance but for more specific jobs it may be better to install safety vinyl.

Safety flooring is a vinyl product mainly used in commercial installations such as hotel kitchens, bathrooms, gym changing areas, hospitals, schools, doctor surgeries, and wetrooms. These are usually installed in high traffic areas or where excess water would be present.  Marmoleum which was otherwise known as linoleum can also be used and is a similar product to safety vinyl. These products are stuck down to the subfloor.

The subfloor is the most important aspect of any installation of flooring. It has to be clean, smooth, level and free of any contaminations. We can fix any subfloor that has any potential issues. These can be easily fixed by using plywood, damp proof membranes and screeds suitable for the flooring in question. We use products from the leading manufacturers in these fields. We have products that are quick drying so dependent on the circumstance can be done in 1 day.

An LVT is a product that is similar to vinyl but comes in tile format from regular stone tile sizes such as 12”x 12” tiles to wood planks. You may know these products as Amtico or Karndean but there are many other ones on the market. Wood floors come in 2 types of floors, a solid wood which is as it seems solid all the way through, or an engineered wood which has a top layer of real wood put onto a plywood or similar wood backing. Solid woods need to be stuck or nailed down and come in various colours sizes and can be done in different designs dependent on the board. Enginereed wood can be stuck or nailed down but also may be clicked together dependent on board.

Laminate is a mdf or hdf backing board dependent on quality which features a photo surface of the wooden or tiled design printed top. Most laminate flooring comes with several scratch resistant layers but this depends on the quality you purchase. We supply and fit Quickstep one of the leading brands in this sector.

We also do the extras to go with the flooring picked such as underlays, doorbars, grippers, accessories for laminate, stairnosings, any adhesives or subfloor work needed.
